Driver Training
- By reading the website www.advancedrive.com & booking a service, you agree to all of Advance Drive’s terms and conditions. Terms and conditions can be updated by Advance Drive without notice so it is important to check for updates.
- All Advance Drive’s instructors are approved by the relative bodies for the particular type of training being undertaken. I.e. Driving Instructors are approved by the Road Safety Authority to deliver driver training for Motorbike, Car, Truck and Bus.
- As per the ADI Voluntary Code of Practice, All Advance Drive’s instructors are professional, well groomed, mannerly and treat all customers with respect and consideration.
- All Advance Drive’s training vehicles used for driver training are clean, maintained regularly fully insured and fit for purpose meeting all requirements laid out by the RSA.
- In the unlikely event of a accident when the learner is at fault, the learner is required to pay the first €1500 for repairs on the training vehicle & any damage to third parts.
- Advance Drive reserves the right not to offer driver training to any learner driver.
- Advance Drive can stop a lesson at any time should they feel that the learner is a danger to themselves, the vehicle or other road users. If a lesson is stopped Advance Drive cannot be held responsible for any time lost or costs incurred.
- Learners should be well rested and fit to drive for all lessons. Advance Drive can refuse a lesson should they have reason to believe that the learner is under the influence of alcohol / drugs or is excessively tired. If a lesson is refused Advance Drive cannot be held responsible for any time lost or costs incurred.
- Advance Drive start all driver training lessons from Salthill in Galway or our headquarters in Ballybane unless otherwise arranged.
Payment / Cancellation / Rescheduling
- Payment for training services & driving lessons must be made to the office at the time of booking by credit/debit card or bank transfer. Credit/debit card detail’s are taken to secure bookings.
- In the event of a no show the full fee for the lesson is due as the instructor’s time and the vehicle was held and the time could not be offered to anyone else.
- Cancellation / Rescheduling – Minimum 48 hours notice must be given and confirmed to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson otherwise the full fee will be charged.
- In the event of a no show or cancellation / reschedule within 48 hour of the appointment the total cost of the booking must be paid. This can be paid by calling the office on 091524689, in the event that no contact is made within a week of the cancellation/no show the payment will be taken from the credit/debit card details provided at the time of the booking.
- Please note that prepaid fees are non refundable. In exceptional circumstances fees paid for unused services may be refunded at the discretion of management, however 20% of these fees will be held to cover administration & other charges.
Learner Permit
- Learner drivers must hold a valid learner permit and have it available for the instructor on every lesson. A receipt of application from the NDLS is not acceptable and cannot be used to start lessons. If a learner driver arrives to a lesson without a valid learner permit then the lesson will be cancelled without refund. Advance Drive cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred.
- Advance Drive requires a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice to accommodate learners for their driving test dates. It is advisable that learners come for an assessment lesson before applying for their driving test in order for the instructor to see their standard of driving and assess how much training will be required to get to test standard.
- Advance Drive will NOT hire out a vehicle for a driving test without completing a minimum course of six hours of training. This is to assess a persons driving, let the learner become familiar with the vehicle controls and to cover the driving test routes.
- Advance Drive reserves the right to refuse the use of a vehicle for the driving test even after completing training should they feel that the learner is unsafe or potentially a risk to themselves or others.
- Driving tests take preference over driving lessons and in the event that a driving test date should clash with existing lessons, Advance Drive may have to reschedule driving lessons to accommodate. Advance Drive cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of rescheduling lessons.
- In the case of circumstances beyond our control such as break down of vehicles and adverse weather conditions, Advance Drive reserves the right to postpone driving lessons. Advance Drive cannot he held responsible for costs incurred as a result.
- As Advance Drive’s instructors are fully booked each day it is important that learners are punctual for their driving lessons. If you’re running late for your lessons please notify the office or your instructor at your earliest convenience. Instructors will wait for a maximum time of 30 minutes before the lesson is deemed to be a no show. In turn learners are asked to wait for the same time for instructors in the case that they are running behind for unforeseen circumstances. Any lesson time lost as a result of this will be made up by the instructor on the day or on the next lesson.
- Advance Drive reserves the right to change the cost of any lessons or services at anytime. If a customer has started lessons the original cost will apply until they pass their driving test. If you‘re a new customer, it is important to contact the office to confirm all costs for services prior to booking.
- All queries made by phone and email to Advance Drive will be replied to within 48 hours where possible. Please note social media may not be checked daily so it is advisable to email or call the office for help with enquiries.
- Advance Drive reserves the right to not reply to any emails or enquiries that they deem to spam, junk or of a false nature.
Driver CPC Training
- Payment for Driver CPC Training courses is required in advance to confirm bookings. Please note that fees are non refundable. Once bookings have been made and accepted by Advance Drive. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- Advance Drive requires 48 hours notice to reschedule any bookings made for Driver CPC Training courses. Any cancellations made after this time will result in loss of payment.
Driver Hire Terms of Business
- 1. Driver Hire refers to the hire of drivers only. 2. Companies looking to hire a driver must ensure that vehicles used are taxed, insured, road worthy and have valid NCT or CVRT. 3. Bookings are confirmed once the job has been accepted and a driver appointed. 4. Once a booking is confirmed we require the following notice for cancellations: 21 Days Notice No Fee, 11 – 20 Days Notice Minimum Daily Rate Applies, 10 Days Notice Time Booked is Time Paid. 5. Payment is due within 21 days from date of invoice.
Gift Vouchers
- Gift Vouchers are non refundable and valid for 6 months from issue date.
- If a Gift Voucher is lost or mislaid, it may only be redeemed providing it has been bought in a person’s name and they have proof of purchase.
Complaints
- In the event of a complaint that cannot be resolved with the help of your driving instructor, complaints should be made in writing and emailed to info@advancedrive.com or posted to Advance Drive, Bother Na Mine, Ballybane Ind Est, Galway H91 PH92
